We've come a long way baby!
This Labor Day is for us! We're a significant force in the labor market. While only 20% of American women worked outside of the home in 1900, today it is around 60% and climbing.
We've helped win wars. Rosie the Riveter and her sisters were significant contributors during World War II keeping the assembly lines running at home while men fought in Europe and the Pacific. American women had a significant, though different, impact on the war effort during World War I. To conserve steel, women were asked to stop wearing corsets. Their efforts conserved enough steel to build a battleship, some 28,000 tons. And today we're integral to all branches of the Armed Forces.

More College Degrees
For the past 30 years, women have earned more college degrees than men.
In 1960, women were only 6% of students in medical schools, now we're 50%. Female students at law schools have increased from 4% in the early 1960s to 44% today.
Women earn 53% of all doctoral degrees.
In those same 30 years, we've seen the first female justices of the Supreme Court (although Sandra Day O'Connor was appointed in 1981), the first U.S. women in Space, the first female vice presidential candidates from the major parties and the first female Secretaries of State.
There's no job today we can't handle. Whether we choose to spend our days running a company, running for office, running cattle or running after kids, we're up to the task. We expect a lot of ourselves and we deliver.
To perform our best, we need to feel our best. Can you imagine how difficult accomplishing all of this would be if we are straddled with uncomfortable bras? Well yes, you probably can because the statistics say that most of us are wearing the wrong size or an ill-fitting bra and that means discomfort.
If we're uncomfortable, we can't concentrate. We can't be our best.
That's where Big Girls Bras can help. Our mantra is No bra should hurt. We work hard to make sure we offer you a large variety of bra styles and sizes so you don't have to settle for an almost right bra. We help you find the right bra for your body with online resources like How to Size a Bra, Bra Fitting Instructions.
We have a knowledgeable and helpful staff that is just a phone call away who can answer your fit questions and recommend bras for your specific needs. And, our customer reviews are full of useful information.

Our Customers Say it Best
As Pam the Rancher wrote about the Anita Jana Cotton Material Soft Cup Support Bra 5427, "I'm a Texas rancher and I work hard outside every day. This bra is comfortable in hot or cold weather. Stays put, supports well, washes and wears well. I don't have to worry about whether or not I'm going to be comfortable; because I always am when I wear this bra. "
Another good choice if your job keeps you active is the Freya Active Molded Racer Back Sports Bra AA4891.
If your work keeps you indoors we have hundreds of options to choose from. A few of our favorites are: Prima Donna Deauville Collection Full Figure Underwire Bra 0161817, Grenier Comfort Cushioned Straps Double Layer Cotton Underwire Bra 8467, and Le Mystere Dream Tisha Lace Bra 965.
