We Expect Our Bras to be Comfortable
To break this down to basics, there are only two times a day we want to think about our bras -- that's in the morning when we put them on and at night when we take them off. If we're thinking about them during other times of the day it almost always means we're having a problem with our bra. It could be discomfort, feeling like we aren't adequately supported, or a fashion faux pas. Anyway, we're unhappy.
We've experienced the sheer joy of wearing a piece of exquisite lingerie, when merely thinking about it brings a smile to our faces.
But more frequently, we deal with the pinching, poking, squishing, rubbing and overall discomfort of a bad bra or a good bra gone bad. We've all experienced the self consciousness of a bra that shows when or where we don't want it to. Some of us have even felt the embarrassment of a wardrobe malfunction. We've struggled with bad bra days for so long; many of us are resigned to accepting them as a fact of life.
We expect our bras to be comfortable all day, but the clich of rushing home to get out of an uncomfortable bra is so common that it is just that - a clich. Having bad bra days is not something we have to live with. In the next two weeks, we'll explore in detail the two main causes of bad bra days: discomfort and fashion faux pas.
