Our MissionBig Girls' Bras, etc is committed to bringing together a wealth of intimate apparel product selections for full figure, full busted and plus size women in a tasteful and convenient environment.
Our RoleOn the supply side, we currently attend the March and August New York Lingerie America Markets.
At these markets we talk to manufacturers and representatives of the brands that we offer, learn about their new products or fabrics and designs, and deliver this information and the new product offerings to our customers.
We continue to talk with and meet new manufacturers and suppliers throughout the year. We also subscribe to several industry publications so that we stay abreast of current trends.
We discuss fitting issues, quality, variety and always the need for more plus size and full figure choices in all price ranges and designs.
On the demand side, we talk with our customers to find out what they like and dislike about the garments - the fit, the comfort, the quality. And, we share that information through our email newsletter and various sections of our web site. If you would like to contribute to our knowledge and information sharing, please contact us.
BGB offers more total intimate apparel style and size selections than almost any single retail store, paper catalog, or boutique. Once we've reached a manufacturer and they have accepted our business, we offer their products to our customers.
A Simple IdeaA quiet moment of conversation in the summer of 1998, no more than three minutes in time, ignited the spark that became Big Girls' Bras.
Within three months, BGB was born and the first version of BiggerBras.com was published on the internet.
The First CustomerAfter several months of existence on the internet, our first customer magically appeared. A truly euphoric feeling momentarily filled the room - quickly followed by a lot of bumping into each other as we rushed to complete her order.
More customers and more orders soon followed and BGB began to grow. We've since learned not to bump into each other, but we still rush to complete each customer's order.
How We've GrownWe embraced the internet as our communication method. From a tiny amount of seed money, we have continuously put our earnings back into the company. Our growth and our funding has been entirely based on the success of our web site and the loyalty of our customers.
