Very comfortable; the band is very supportive and the wider shoulder straps are comfortable and easy to adjust. I really don't like underwire; a bra like this one means I lose nothing in support by forgoing the wire.

I found my first one at a discount store about 12 years ago and have worn this style almost exclusively since then. I cannot wear an underwire and this has the support without having underwire. The straps are a good distance in from the shoulder edge and the only thing I might change is to make them semi-stretch. Under a Tee shirt you may want a nipple cover since this is just a stretchy ungarnished material, but for every other nonformal use, it is superb and would work for formal too provided the gown had straps and wasn't too low. I will wear it as long as they make it but wish that it came in colors in the larger sizes.
